The first photoshop tutorial taught me about how to layer images into a seamless nature photo as if all the components were there at the time the original picture was taken. This exercise required me to use Photoshop's layer option, as well as layer masks. For my example I layered multiple images containing birds atop a darker forest image.


For the second photoshop tutorial I learned. how to place text behind anything. This required me to use the quick select tool, as well as the layer mask to display the text behind the woman sitting in the boat. In this exercise I attempted to create something that would fit into the theme of my project and give a magazine cover sort of vibe.


In the last tutorial I learned how to hide or remove objects with Content-Aware Fill. Essentially I used the object selection tool, then adjusted the layer with the lasso tool and smart brush. Once I removed the boat to my satisfaction I saved the layer which covered the object that I no longer wanted to show in the image. I have included the before and after pictures below.
